LABOR DAY = NO LABOR

I am so excited for this long weekend! If you don't get a long weekend, I am really, really sorry! It's one of the perks of working in higher education and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Since I am taking this weekend to get my s#!t together, I figured I'd splatter it all over here for you to see! That way - it holds me accountable!

1. Launder (fancy talk for wash) my clothes.
2. Work on blog posts - like for realzies.
3. Work on VA (Virtual Assistant) work! I am finally gaining some clients! Wahoo!
4. Spend time with my parents! I haven't seen them very much at all.
5. Read, read, read. I need to be better about this in general.
6. Relax or watch like 7 movies.
7. Eat!
8. Take naps.

What are long weekends for?! Also, can I just say how depressing it is that this year is flying on by. I have not accomplished all I wanted to this year, but I will say this year kicks last year's ass! In a good way.

See ya on the flippity flop!

WOAH, MAMA!

Yes, I am alive! I know. Can you believe it? It has been a hot minute since I have blogged last and I really, really miss it. I honestly don't even know what to say right now because I feel like whatever it is it won't be remotely interesting. I don't even have a really great story or reason for why I haven't blogged in so long. The biggest reason? WORK!

I have been working non-stop since early to mid-June. Long days, longer nights, and a lot of working on weekends. In case you don't know I work in financial aid at a university. No, we don't get Summer breaks. Summer for us is the busiest time of the year. We are working tirelessly to make sure all of the students have financial aid for the fall. It's a hard job, but someone has got to do it, right?

I can't even tell you the last time I did something fun. I hope to be having a lot more fun before the Summer weather leaves us. Today was the first day of school for the students. I have to say, I kinda missed them. It is pretty quiet without them and I love to hear their conversations in the hallway and watch as the freshman aimlessly walk around and soak in their first days at college. We did things a little different this year which made me seriously stressed out, but it helped this week go way smoother, so I am happy about that.

Anything else? Hmmm...

Oh yes, the dating front. No news there unfortunately. I honestly don't know if the time will ever come for me to meet Mr. Right, but I probably wouldn't have had time for him this Summer anyway. My family is doing great, in fact, I am going to be an aunt again! My sister is expecting her second child and I am over the moon! Deep down I wonder if this one will be different than my niece. I often think about them looking laike or having similar personalities. Anyone else think of that kind of stuff? I also wonder if I will be able to love him/her as much as I love Presley. I know its possible, but its so hard to wrap my mind around.

As I said, things have been crazy, but I expect them to calm down in the next couple of weeks. I have appreciated the emails and tweets asking where I am and when I will blog again. It will be more regularly, I promise! As for now, I am still enjoying staying in the moment and not having to brainstorm new blogging ideas. I also think my brain may be a little fried...That's understandable though for as much as I have been using it the past couple of months!

If you have been waiting on my posts, I am sorry I don't have a more exciting one today. But, I will be back with more soon!
